The Italian Society of Tropical Medicine and Global Health (SIMET ETS) is a multidisciplinary scientific society dedicated to promoting studies, research and other activities aimed at populations living in tropical and subtropical regions, in areas with the highest socio‑economic disadvantage, and more generally in those most exposed to the risk of disease linked to precarious living and working conditions and/or to climatic and environmental determinants. It is a member of the Federation of European Societies of Tropical Medicine and International Health (FESTMIH).
Italian Society of Tropical Medicine and Global Health (SIMET) is focused on
National and international collaboration in technical and scientific fields to protect individual and community health.
Training and dissemination of topics relevant to the areas mentioned above, in healthcare and community settings, both in Italy and abroad.
